the bone marrow organisation came to our school today to encourage more of us to donate our bone marrows to all the unfortunate children who are suffering from cancer.they gave us a talk and statistics has shown that if u are an eurasian, the chances of someone having the same bone marrow as you is abt 60%, if u are a chinese, its is abt 30% and if u are a malay or indian, the chances are much slimmer, almost none.they were also showin us photos of how they extract the bone marrow!! so anyway, each class is allocated with certain time-slots as to when they have to go to the hub if they want to be a donar.and more than half of my class donated, i was the minority that didnt, juz bcoz im scared of pain!! what reasoning is this? as compared to those children who have to go for chemotherapy, this sort of pain is nothing!! yet i still backed out.i sld be punished! i feel horrible! =(
